From its famed overture to its riveting final moments, The Force of Destiny bursts with thrilling arias and rousing ensemble passages. WNO Artistic Director Francesca Zambello – known for her “psychologically probing interpretations of the operatic repertoire,” according to the New Yorker – brings her inventive staging to this new production. Celebrating the bicentennial of Verdi’s birth, The Force of Destiny features an exciting cast of international singers conducted by gifted Chinese American maestra Xian Zhang. WNO’s thrilling new production is one opera fans in Washington and the world will be talking about for years to come.
